Q: What is AmeriCorps? Volunters In Service To America (VISTA)?
A: AmeriCorps engages Americans in intensive service each year at nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country. The VISTA program was incorporated into AmeriCorps in 1993. Today, members serve to create and expand sustainable programs designed to bring individuals and communities out of poverty.
